About Us

Worship
Worship (see Our services) is central to our life together with God

Mission
We aim to play our part in making the Good News of God’s love for all people known:
– by caring for our own community and its people as well as for the well-being of our city;
– by supporting the wider Church in its total mission in Britain and overseas;
– by regular support for Christian Aid, Action for Children, Methodist Homes and many others on an occasional basis as the needs arise.

Sharing the Good News
We want to share with others the love God offers us in Jesus. We are always on the look-out for new and imaginative ways of faith-sharing. Jointly with our friends at St Cuthbert's, we have taken on a part-time Youth Worker to help lead our FNY (Friday Night Youth) Club for the young people of the village.

Caring for each other
We are a caring fellowship and have a comprehensive system of pastoral care for all those who are part of our life, praying for one another regularly, but especially in times of trouble or illness, supporting one another on our Christian journey and building one another up in faith, hope and love.

Christian Unity
In response to Jesus’s prayer that all his people should be one, we enjoy good relationships and share occasional services and other activities with our friends at St Cuthbert’s Church (Church of England).
